Spankin’ New Book Review on Star Struck: Seeing the Creator in the Wonders of Our Cosmos by David Bradstreet

We are sometimes quick to believe that faith in God and science are incompatible. But if God is Creator then science should have His fingerprints all over it. The stars should be his canvas, signed in the bottom corner. This is exactly the claim that Dr. Bradstreet desires to prove in his new book Star Struck. Throughout the book, this author reveals his personal passion from a young age for astronomy all the way to the present where he serves at a professor.
This book serves as a beautiful testament to God’s work within the heavens. While the scientific community is not known for it’s religious beliefs, this author strives to reveal that he is not alone in his realization of divine revelation in the stars. He even goes as far as to reveal how throughout the centuries there have been numerous scientists who turned their eyes to the sky to see God’s workmanship, detailing their specific beliefs and experiments.
Within this book there may be some claims that strike some difficulty for conservative Christians. However, this author is incredibly focused on Jesus and expressed deep belief in the infallibility and inspiration of Scripture. I found it beneficial and inspiring. It also gave me gave me a new appreciation for the beauty of God’s masterpiece in the sky.
